Information
Good morning and welcome to the Mount Olympus snow report for Saturday September 5th, for an up to date snow report please stay on the line - its going to be a long one. CLUB CHAMPS BABY! ANYTHING BUT SKI GEAR... Yesterday we received a couple of cm's into the afternoon which helped reset things after Thursday nights rain. We have strong gusting NW winds this morning, cool temps and partly cloudy skies - we could experience a few snow showers into the afternoon, fingers crossed. Lower angle terrain will hold the new snow from yesterday so stick to that to find the best skiing. Registration for Club Champs kicks off from 0900. Racing from 1030/1100 with Juniors up first then into Men/Women. After lunch we have our beloved Chinese Downhill and Veterans. Mollies is our race course and YES... we are going to make everyone hike to the start, a short one but enough to raise the heart rate a beat or two. Prize Giving from 4pm. Be warned - those not dressed up may incur a time penalty - you have been warned! Access Tow will start off on HOLD this morning whilst we get as many cars in our Main Tow Shed as possible - load up those chained up trucks, car pool and get up to the bottom of Main. Access Tow is not for the faint hearted - please be respectful of our staff managing a sporty, shallow train track tow line - the last thing we want is our Access rope running off pulleys or on rocks so lets all band together in keeping Access in tip top order! Chef Lloyd is back cooking up a storm - back from his days off. Book in for lunch before 11am. Come on up and enjoy a day at the playground of the gods. Derek is back to greeting you, sloppys are always flowing and booking in for lunch will never be a let down... Radio up from Bottom Hut requesting "Road Cone" for the latest road conditions. Radio up from the container before driving the summer road (and grab a tow belt) . Summer Road is 4WD with chains ONLY. The access tow is still rideable for experienced tow users otherwise it is a quick 15min walk up our summer road. Please be aware and respectful of farm traffic through Glenthorne Station. Looking forward to seeing you up at the playground!
